The other road starts in Arusha and goes westward through Kisongo, then passes through Meserani, and ends in Monduli. After about 50 miles near Mount Wa Mbu begins south curve around the lake and continues to Babati Manyara and Dodoma. It is commonly called Dodoma Road. The third is a new road near Dodoma compared to Wa Mbu Ngorongoro Crater, has room for many tourists and mountain passes through Wa Mbu and Karatu, before ascending the crater. Arusha is a coastal region which has no navigable rivers. The great lakes in the Rift Valley are not used for transportation.Kilimanjaro International Airport, which serves the cities of Arusha and Moshi is a gateway for tourists and business people. Among its carriers are Air Tanzania, Precision Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways and KLM. Most are land travel by bus from the city of Arusha. Within the city, there are mini-buses called Dalas Dalas for passengers. There are also many services "unofficial" taxi that center around tourism sectors (hotels and markets, for example). With something of this nature, it is recommended to be careful with this type of service. Usually, there are people offering rides from inside the door of the hotels that taxi drivers are genuine, while those who are abroad may be illegal.
